Let’s lighten things up a bit, shall we?
Major snowstorm happening here in LovelyLittleVille. Mr. LLW ventured out with the snowblower once and, after being narrowly missed by a falling tree, decided to call it a night. Now he’s joined the rest of us to wait it out inside where the woodstove is burning and the hot chocolate is (perhaps predictably) hot.
The power started to flicker a couple of hours ago and I tackled survival steps in the following order:
1. Stockpile water (We’re on a well.)
2. Charge Kindle
3. Clean basement (in case we need to sleep downstairs with the woodstove)
That’s a pretty good summation of my priorities:
1. Brush teeth and produce breast milk. (Oh – and don’t die of thirst. But mainly the first two.)
2. Have something to read.
3. Nurture my OCD.
Upon finding me scrubbing the basement, Mr. LLW said, “Honey, if the power goes out the last thing you’re going to care about is a little dust.” Clearly, even after 5+ years together, he still has a lot to learn.
